John Anthony Jr., GIA GG, & RJ, CGA (AGS)
John Anthony Jr. has been interested and involved in the jewelry business since he was very young, learning to cut gold, solder, polish, and more. During the summers while attending high school and college, he worked at John Anthony Jewelers with his father. People often comment that he was “born” a jeweler because jewelry has always been his primary interest.
Upon completing his formal schooling, he worked in the business while continuing his education. In 1980, he won a scholarship to the Gemological Institute of America, one of the most prestigious jewelry and gemology training institutions.
Since the early 1970s, John Anthony Jr. has worked in all facets of the jewelry business. As a Registered Jeweler and designer, he is skilled in goldsmithing, manufacturing, repairing fine jewelry, and gem identification. He is capable of taking gold or platinum and developing original designs into works of art.
John Anthony Jr. is a member of the Jewelers of America, Jewelers Vigilance Committee, Jewelers Board of Trade, GIA Alumni, Delaware Valley Chapter GIA, Jewelers Security Alliance, and the Main Line Chamber of Commerce. He is involved with many philanthropic organizations and has served as President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Gemological Institute of America.
